The Ethical Angle is dedicated to providing a flexible service for IFAs, which will enable them to offer comprehensive advice to clients who wish to invest responsibly.

We have found that whilst many IFAs would like to be able to develop this market and offer ethical investment options to their clients, they often lack the skills or confidence to do so effectively.

Conversely some IFAs under-estimate the issues involved, leaving their clients at risk from poorly constructed portfolios.

Whilst we completely reject any suggestion that an ethical stance would automatically lead to lower returns over the longer term, we do acknowledge that any variance in approach will lead to short term variances within a particular market sector. It is how these differences are managed that is the key to success in ethical investment.

We also firmly believe that social responsibility will continue to exert an ever more important influence in both personal and corporate decision making. IFAs who fail to grasped this fact will increasingly find themselves vulnerable to criticism and competition.
